From discussions amongst committee members, there is an increased concern about the Covid situation..
The subject is further restricted by the Government's advice not to travel outside one's own town, which means we should only join local area walks.
When the situation improves, perhaps when the Covid vaccination process is well underway, and restrictions are lifted then the walk programme will be updated
Walking the Public Rights of Way of Yorkshire and beyond
Our well managed group is run by a committee of eight members. We walk together every weekend and occasionally on weekdays all year round and on weekday evenings in the summer...
We are keen to promote car sharing and either the walk leader or the walks coordinator will assist when possible in reducing the number of vehicles travelling to the start of walks by arranging car sharing. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses are shown on the back of the programme.
If you would like come on a "taster walk" you can either telephone or e-mail us on the link below or just turn up. Weekend walks can vary between around five and twelve miles in length so check your ability and look at the ascent and grading (Easy, Moderate or Challenging). This is always indicated in the programme.
If you enjoy your first walk and come again the annual subscription for 2020 of £7 is due on your second walk. This helps offset our expenses and keep this website going. Our group is affiliated to the Ramblers and we strongly support their aims and objectives. We hold civil liability insurance to help protect our leaders and members.
